The July 2007 flood was the biggest event of the five recent floods. It was the most damaging and 12 properties flooded internally in the living accommodation.
Once again the bridged on the High Street and to Orchard Close were dammed. Sutton Brook and Hen Brook broke their banks and flooded the High Street, Orchard Close and the development site.
Flood water came to approximately the front of no. 17 Orchard Close and witnessed to be around the 102.25m contour line of Betty’s Field
